BRADENTON – The 2024 UA Next Future 50 will, for the first time, prominently feature 50 of the top high school boys and 50 of the top high school girls for two days of elite skills training and competition in a flag football tournament. This year’s UA Next Future 50 will take place on Friday and Saturday at IMG Academy.
UA Next Future 50 welcomes the nation’s best athletes for two days of skills training from top coaches and flag football competition alongside their peers. Athletes have been invited to UA Next Future 50 by way of their play throughout the year or based on their performance at one of the many Under Armour Next Camp Series events that have taken place throughout the spring. UA Next Future 50 rosters, which are attached, generally reflect the traditional positions in typical flag football competitions – quarterbacks, receivers, running backs, linebackers and defensive backs.
The flag football component will be supported by USA Football and feature 5-on-5 competition. Athletes will be assigned to one of four teams, with games taking place on Friday and Saturday evening. Traditional camp and drill work, along with various skill challenges, will be held Saturday morning.
Nearly half of the participating boys are ranked in the top 50 of the ESPNJr300 rankings, including the top four players and six of the top 10 standouts. Dynamic athletic Jahkeem Stewart, the consensus No. 1 player in the Class of 2026, will work out as a tight end alongside fellow top-10 prospects No. 2 WR Chris Henry Jr., No. 3 WR Kendre Harrison, No. 4 QB Jared Curtis, No. 7 DB Brandon Arrington and, Plantation American Heritage No. 9 QB Dia Bell Dia Bell 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Plantation American Heritage | 2026 State FL .
There will be 20 Class of 2026 boys from the state of Florida appearing this weekend.
Earlier this month, Under Armour announced a strategic partnership with USA Football. This agreement aligns Under Armour with the sport’s governing body to ensure football’s continued growth by providing athletes and coaches with a high-performance pathway that leads from youth recreational events to the U.S. National Teams and ultimately the Olympics.
Flag Football will make its Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 2028 as both a men’s and women’s sport. Official games feature two, 20-minute halves played by five athletes on each team. Drives begin at the offense’s own five-yard line and have four downs to get to midfield, then another four to reach the endzone. The playing field measures 50×25 yards, plus 10 yards for each end zone. Visit www.usafootball.com for more information on the organization and complete rules.
Under Armour recently made its partnership debut on the field with USA Football when the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Flag National Teams convened for training camp to prepare for the International Federation of American Football’s Flag Football World Championships, which will take place in Lahti, Finland this August.
The U.S. Men’s and Women’s Flag National Teams are defending World Champions. IFAF expects this year’s event will be the largest ever, with more than 25 countries participating.
